Something hot and spicy to beat the winter blues…
By admin on December 9, 2013
Just when mother nature was wreaking havoc on our driving conditions and our confusion as to how to dress with the fluctuation of temperature that Ottawa has been receiving lately…along comes an event that will no doubt create some heat, how fitting that it comes from the hot temperatures of Mexico!!
The Bytown museum has joined forces with the Mexican Embassy to showcase to the Ottawa public and to tourists alike what Mexico has to offer in regards to their art, food and by Mezcal. I’ll be honest, I am not familiar with Mezcal at all but that all seems to be part of the driving force for me to attend this cultural event. What could I possibly ask for more than an evening of exotic cuisine, fine art and a tasting of what has been coined as the ‘nectar of the gods’…other than actually being in Mexico.
What is it? An exclusive evening of Mexican culture showcasing Mexico’s art, food and conducting a tasting of 5 Mezcals with traditional Mexican appetizers
Date and Time: Thursday December 12th & Saturday December 14th, 6pm
Tickets: to reserve your seats please call 613-234-4570 ext. 221**
**minimum $25 donation to the museum (tax receipts will be issued)
Beat the winter blues and join me as we discover some of the beauties that Mexico has to offer!
