The World’s 50 Best Restaurants – 2013

The list just came out for the world’s best restaurants. I have been following this list for some time now. Unfortunately when El Bulli took the number spot, I had promised myself that one day I would be spoiled by Adria Ferran’s creations…little did I know that they would soon close their doors. So because of that missed opportunity, I have promised myself to seize any opportunities that will allow me to eat at some of these highly coveted establishments (its part of my bucket list). Here’s the top ten…

10. Vendôme: Bergisch Gladbach, Germany
9. Steirereck, Vienna, Austria
8. Arzak: San Sebastian, Spain
7. Dinner By Heston Blumenthal: London
6. D.O.M.: São Paulo, Brazil (Best in South America)
5. Eleven Madison Park: New York City (Best in USA)
4. Mugaritz: Errenteria, Spain
3. Osteria Francescana: Modena, Italy
2. Noma: Copenhagen, Denmark
1. El Celler de Can Roca: Girona, Spain (Best in Europe & World)

After three years Noma has finally lost its crown but still manged to hold the second place standing. Did you notice that out of the top ten, three of them are from Spain…the Spaniards know a thing or two about setting themselves apart from the rest and to that I raise my glass to them…Felicitacion!!!!

The stunningly beautiful Trafalgar Falls, located in the Trois Piton National Park!!😍😍

These famous twin waterfalls are a 20-minute drive from Dominica's capital, Roseau. It's a short 10 to 15 minute walk along a well-maintained path to the viewing platform, where you can photograph both falls.

Fun fact: The smaller waterfall has cool refreshing water, whereas the tall one is a hot spring.💧🔥

Dominica's natural beauty is endless!!😍
After some incredible snorkeling in Toucari Bay with @wanderlustcaribbean we needed some well deserved substance to refuel our bodies! 🤿🐟🐠🏝
The Keep'in It Real restaurant was the ideal eatery for some tasty snapper 🐟 with all its delicious trimmings (local greens, fried plantains, fritters with some rice and beans).
To wash it all down, some local Rum with passion fruit juice 😋 🍹
This is what experiencing a new destination should be like...amazing adventures, delicious food and connecting with like-minded enthusiasts!!😍🤗
